Prehistoric flint objects
Implements of uncertain use. Thick ridged flakes of flint, slightly trimmed by coarse chipping. One has a chisel-like end. Sling-stones? Lumps of flint broken into a rounded form by coarse chipping. Sometimes regarded as 'cores'; but they are more probably sling-stones. Flint Core. The discarded piece from which flakes have been struck. The blows or pressure which removed them operated upon the upper surface.
