Built 1929 by Duncan & Co Ltd., Port Glasgow, for Athel Line Ltd. 1942 – Torpedoed and damaged, she was declared a total constructive loss, but due to the shortage of ships at this time, was repaired and put back into service as EMPIRE VISCOUNT for MoWT. 1946 – Re-purchased by Athel Line, and renamed ATHELVISCOUNT again. She was broken up in 1957. Original date of 1972/74 incorrect, as broken up in 1957.
