Sampler
LINEN, embroidered with coloured silks in cross stitch. Divided by a floral wavy stem into two horizontal compartments. In the upper compartment, in three rows, are Gothic and Roman letters of the alphabet preceded by crosses, numerals to 10, the date "1819" and the following inscription: "marie theresia martens. deo gratias"; below is a monstrance between candlesticks with candles, surrounded by floral, bird and dog designs, a star and the Sacred Heart. There is a narrow border.
