Black painted steel helmet with the letters ARP painted in white on the front. Canvas inside fittings with cruciform pad inside crown. Fabric chin strap is attached through metal loops and brackets. Area around one bracket stamped G27 / BMB and 1 / 1939, BMB identifying Briggs Motor Bodies of Dagenham as manufacturer. Second World War issue. Formerly of Gwent Police Museum collection.
