P.S. CAMBRIA, photograph
Cambria docked at Ilfracombe, 1904. The light cruiser HMS Spartan lay at anchor offshore between 22nd and 25th August, during which time one of her guns was taken to a local blacksmith for minor repairs. The gun is being taken back to the ship. The Cambria and Albion are berthed at the Stone Bench.
P.S. CAMBRIA was renamed HMS Cambridge during the course of World War I and HMS Plinlimmon during World War II. (1895-1946).
The paddle steamer ALBION was renamed H.M.S. ALBYN during World War I.
