Jug
Jug or pitcher of coarse red earthenware, standing on an uneven, grit marked base, slightly flared and moulded with a pie-crust effect, stabilising the body; the sides flaring to a bulbous central section, the neck, straight sided, ending in a thick, everted lip rim; thickly moulded loop handle with extensive restoration; largely unglazed of gritty, pale reddish appearance with an apron of mottled green glaze around the upper part of the body.
