Early Medieval human remains
These are remains from the Inhumation Burial of a Middle Adult (25-49 years) who's sex is Undetermined. They are moderately preserved with over 75% remaining. A small fragment of ossified cervical cartilage remains.
The burial is from Phase I: 877-1054 AD
Their right leg was found crossed over the left. The grave is intercut with remains from SK352 that may have disturbed the legs of SK340, possibly causing them to look crossed.
Their teeth had Calculus, Caries and Periodontal Disease. Their bones had evidence of Enthesophytes and Degenerative Joint Disease
