Wedding dress
Worn by donor's mother in 1903 on her wedding day at Chelmarsh Parish Church, Shropshire. Brown and mauve silk. Bodice is lined and has seven stiffeners and concealed inside pocket. Embroidered with white lace in narrow lengths as vertical pleats on back and front. Embroidered on collar and on gathered cuffs. Skirt is lined with plain narrow velvet edging inside bottom hem.
