Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Dish, earthenware, vine-leaf shape with vertical heart-shaped rounded foot-rim and spreading sides, leaf-like shaping to the rim with protruding 'stem' at one end, incised lines to represent the veins of a leaf to the interior of the dish; transfer-printed in blue with vignettes of shells and flowers, a central group of flowers, leaves and scrolling stylized foliage surrounded by one group of shells, flowers and leaves, one group of shells, flowers, leaves and scrolling stylized foliage and one group of flowers, leaves and scrolling stylized foliage spreading up the interior sides of the dish, border to the rim of tiny heart shapes on a blue ground with a wavy line below.
