Middle Bronze Age bronze palstave
Virtually complete bronze looped palstave with a narrow blade. The upper sides have a very slight concavity, then become straight alond mid and lower sections and divergent to an unexpanded edge. There is a slight waisting below the stop. A single medial ridge extends around half wat down each balde surface. The stop levels are misaligned indicatin a mismatching of mould parts. The butt is heavily worn but sub-rounded in plan and the loop is complete and narrow in side section.

Site Name: Nantmel, Powys
Notes: The palstaves were reportedly found in 5 different locations on different days by the same finder. This has been shown to be extremely unlikey and the coronor found in favour of the palstaves being directly associated and therefore treasure.
