Knocker churn
Knocker or plunger churn in the form of an oak coopered barrel with three iron bands, tapering from the base to a cylindrical ash collar. Complete with pierced lid and a plunger which fits through a hole in the lid. The plunger with a long wooden handle would be worked up and down and rotated to churn the butter. From Monmouth.
