Coles & Co, Swansea Earthenware House (1780 - 1790)
Teapot and cover, creamware, cylindrical body with inset base, loop handle, tapering spout, low domed cover with flange and pierced globular knop; painted on one side with the inscription 'Margt; Kirkhouse / 1788' with flowers sprigs, a scalloped band and grass motifs, on the other side with a chinoiserie landscape, scrolled bands with a blue ground round the shoulder and cover, grass motifs on the cover, a flowerhead on the underside of the spout.
