Roman copper alloy penannular brooch
Copper alloy penannular broch of sub-rectangular cross section with moulded terminals bent back on themselves at right angles to the ring. It is decorated with a double row of small impressed squares and corresponds to Fowler (1960) type D. Brooches with similar decoration have been found at Caerleon Basilica (unpub. SF1069), Usk (Manning et al 1995, no.74), and Colchester (Crummy 1983, no.100).
