Dish, sweetmeat
Sweetmeat dish, cream-coloured earthenware, standing on an oval domed slightly fluted foot, roughly oval body with curving spreading sides, the rim pierced with foliate and diamond-shape perforations, around the upper interior sides of the dish raised moulded foliate festoons issuing from moulded tied ribbons, a shaped edge to the rim, to either end of the dish are twin horizontal loop handles; a stylized floral spray in puce to the well of the dish, the moulded ribbons painted in puce, oil-gilding to the raised festoons and handles and to the rim of the dish where it is rather worn.
