Ewer and basin, hard-paste porcelain, ewer standing on a trumpeted foot rim with moulded curving lines, rounded body with flat shoulders, circular neck with large scallop shaped spout, geometric handle, body moulded with a lion's head and garlands of moulded leaves with circular gilt highlights, upper half of body moulded with fluted border, moulded geometric border around neck; decorated in enamels and gilt, gilt borders to foot rim, around shoulders and to handle, fluted border painted with two colours of pink with stylised, turquoise decoration in between, lion's face painted, garlands of painted green leaves hanging from geometric border, blue and gilt border to lip edge.
