Plate, pearlware, flat base, curving sides and spreading rim with a notched edge; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with the 'Buffalo' pattern showing an oriental landscape with a Chinese figure mounted on a buffalo, two further Chinese figures and a pagoda, a lattice pattern border around the sides of the well, and to the rim a lattice pattern border with eight floral motifs.
