Bradbury, Thomas, & Son (Successor to Matthew Fenton & Co, Sheffield, founded (before?) 1769; factory at corner of Arundel Street and Surrey Street, Sheffield, 1831-1855)
One of a pair of candlesticks, sterling silver, in the form of a late Gothic chimney stack, with a square and sloping stepped base, filled with lead, supporting an octagonal stem with a socket set into its top, into which fits the detachable nozzle, this also octagonal and flaring to a crenellated rim; chased with fictive masonry lines, the base engraved with the arms and motto of Vaughan quartering Nanney and others impaling Mostyn quartering others, engraved on the opposite side with an inscription.
