Lamp
Lamp, pearl-glazed earthenware, underside of plinth unglazed, triangular plinth with chamfered corners and inward tapering sides moulded with pendant acanthus leaves, trumpet shaped foot moulded with a spiral flute; oval body, the lower half of the bowl moulded with stiff leaved acanthus, the upper half elongated and terminating in wide spout at one end, containing a tube, and a small platform at the other moulded with an oval rosette on either side; upper half of bowl inverted with a centrally placed collared mouth; handle formed of draped classical female kneeling on the platform and holding a ewer to the bowl's mouth. Plinth and figure enamelled black, the rest of the lamp a lustrous deep blue, the upper side of bowl reserved with an enamelled band of scrolls, anthemions, foliage, flowers and husks in purple, green and yellow enamels.
