Slop bowl
Baker, Bevans and Irwin, Glamorgan Pottery (1813-1839)
Slop bowl, white earthenware, clear but slightly blued glaze, inverted bell-shape with curved sides, everted rim and spreading moulded foot, a raised ring in the base, and another at junction with foot; printed in a pale underglaze blue with a chinoiserie print comprising a central reserve of figures amid scrolls and foliage, with a vase behind, deep border on both sides of the lip of scrollwork, flower heads and leafy branches with an edging of star-like florets and barbs.
