George Day receiving an inscribed sherry tray from Trevor Taylor (Industrial Relations Officer, South Wales Ports) on the occasion of his retirement after nearly 33 years of service. George Day entered the docks service as an electrician in 1943 rising to Supervisor in the Chief Docks Engineers' department. Photograph possibly taken at Newport Docks Offices.
