Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain with a creamy, pale buff translucency; standing on a straight sided foot rim curving into slightly cushion moulded and curved spreading sides, lobed lip; painted in enamels with five small stylised flower sprays around the edge between five insects, and one flower spray in the centre surrounded by five insects ( enamel worn ); gilt lip ( worn ).
