Silver Dart boring machine
Holman Silver Dart. Introduced after the SL9, the Silver Dart machine was slightly heavier and had a longer stroke. Suitable for use in rock of medium hardness it was, like the SL9, equipped for wet drilling. This particular machine was used at Wyllie Colliery and is shown with a 7/8" hexagon drilling rod and a tungsten carbide-tipped push-on bit.
