Middle Bronze Age pottery jar
A large barrel-shaped urn that has been reconstructed. Well fired and tempered with comparatively coarse grits. Grey to buff outer surface and surface layer; dark grey inside surface and adjoining layer. The rim is simple, rounded and slightly inturned and there are at least two horizontal unperforated handles. Probable extension of Southern English 'biconical urn' tradition.
