Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain with a creamy yellowish translucency; standing on a foot rim curving into slightly rounded sides and lobed edge, with six large and six small lobes; grooved cavetto, and edge moulded with c-scrolls and ribbon-tied flowers and foliage; painted in polychrome enamels with four small bouquets of garden flowers, sprigs and insects, in the centre; green and black dotted border with the moulding detailed in gilt, and plain gilt bands to cavetto, and lip ( slightly worn ).
