Weesp (fl.1759-1770)
Jug, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a foot rim, folded spout, scroll handle with moulded foliate scrolling; decorated in polychrome enamels, under the spout with two exotic birds in a tree, one with a yellow body and purple tail, the other with blue, orange and purple head feathers,rocks below, one spray with orange, blue and purple flowers opposite, one purple sprig and a single leaf, border of gilt lines, intertwining purple festoons and three green bows, one beneath the spout, purple and gilt highlighting to handle.
