Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Plate, earthenware, circular shape with rounded foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, a slightly raised edge to the well, the rim lobed and waved; loosely painted in iron-red, blue and green with to the centre of the well an urn-shaped flower-pot from which issues a spray of flowers and foliage, border to the rim of alternating arches and semi-circles issuing radiating flower-petals and linked together by stylized looping garlands, the decoration embellished by touches of pink lustre.
