Evening coat (Hunt Club)
tail coat of dark blue melton cloth with dark blue velvet collar; revers and tail linings of cherry-coloured ribbed artificial silk; jacket fully lined with white ribbed (twill?) fabric (artificial silk?); lining is quilted along sides (under arm); inner slit pockets on both sides; 3 domed brass button (double breasted) fastening, with 2 smaller buttons on each sleeve; 2 further buttons on centre back waist above tails; buttons have Monmouthshire Hunt Club monogram (MHC); possibly coat of the Tivyside Hunt Club, with altered facings and buttons
