Bray, Charles (Originally trained in fine art at Goldsmiths College. As a glass artist he was prolific and internationally renowned. Founder member of the Cohesion Glass Network and member of the Society of Glass Technology.
Instigated the teaching of glass at Sunderland Art College in the 1970s, laying the foundation for what is now 'one of the largest and most prestigious glass and ceramics courses in the world atthe University of Sunderland (Anne Tye, obituary for Charles Bray).)
Large bowl, clear glass, small flat base with rounded sides and flattened, ground rim; acid-etched over the entire surface, decorated with an etched and hand-coloured mountainous landscape around the body, in shades of grey, red, purple and yellow.
