Seal impression: Royal
Reverse. The king, in a short skirt of fluted armour, on horse back to sinister, his left hand grasps a shield: quarterly, FRANCE (Modern) and ENGLAND, his right hand holds a sword over and behind his plumed and crested helmet. (On clear impressions) the horse trappings bear two shields, and beneath the horse a greyhound speeds to sinister. The field is ornamented with foliage, including four small fleurs-de-lis and three cinquefoil roses. A large rose ensigned with a crown appears above the horse’s tail; a large fleur-de-lis similarly ensigned in front of its head and breast. The legend is unclear in places
