Dillwyn & Co., Cambrian Pottery (1811 - 1817 and 1824 - 1850)
Plate, earthenware, circular shape with tapering foot-rim with incised band around it, curving sides and spreading rim with a further incised band half-way up the exterior sides, waved rim; transfer-printed in puce with the 'Pheasant' pattern, two exotic pheasants are perched on branches jutting from a tree-stump against a background of foliage, wide border spreading up the sides of the well and onto the rim of sprays of flowers and foliage linked together by a chain of stylized petals shapes, narrow border to the outer rim of circles and ovals.
