Miracle of the Man with the Withered Hand
This Huguenot sculptor was born in Dieppe, emigrated to Edinburgh by 1606 and had moved to London by 1705. He specialised in ivory carving, producing medallion portraits and a few figure sculptures, this one a masterpiece of undercutting.
