Basin, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a high spreading foot, rounded curving sides with slightly flaring rim; finely painted in polychrome enamels and gilt with around the upper exterior body a wide border of torches and musical instruments in red-edged panels between two heavy gilt bands, a wide border of gilt ovals around the lower body, gilt bands around the foot, rim and the centre of the well.
