Medieval ceramic ridge tile
Peak from a ridge tile. The fabric is hard, fairly sandy, light red-buff with a grey core. A green glaze has been applied unevenly. The peak has been moulded with the aid of a knife, a technique thought to have been developed later than finger-moulding.
