Seal impression: Royal
Obverse. Equestrian: on horse to the sinister, the prince in armour of mail with surcoat fastened by a girdle around his waist; in his right hand his sword inclined almost to touch his round topped helmet, his left hand holding against his breast a convex shield charged with three lions passant (Blair gives three leopards, Ailes and De Graville two lions). This is the first known use of charges (on a shield) on English royal seals. Note also the prefix, Sigillum, never used on the seals of monarchs.
