Basin
Bowl or basin, circular in shape with a wide outturned flange and a slightly raised, rounded rim, a deep well and flat base without foot-rim; the basin is carved from a low-quality dark green jade nephrite, the surface and edges, particularly the rim, are slightly uneven in thickness, suggesting it has been manually shaped, the surface has distinctive red-orange spots caused by grains of haematite.
