Brassard
Brassard made from a single piece of un-bleached linen, appliquéd with a red cross and stamped with the inscription 'ARMY MEDICAL SERVICE / GLAMORGAN VOLUNTARY AID'. The edges are turned back and machine sewn with a top stitch in cream cotton thread. The buttonhole end of the brassard is pleated and tacked by hand to shorten the length. Belonged to Muriel Lennox, a VAD nurse and a member of the St John Ambulance Association Barry Nursing Division.
