Neolithic pottery vessel
Vessel in a fabric 6-7mm thick containing small quartz grains (fabric 1). The original shape of the vessel is uncertain, although several of the sherds which have concave outer faces would suggest a shouldered form. The rim itself may have been fairly thin and only slightly everted. The external and internal surfaces range between dark reddish-brown (5YR 3/2) and black.
