Memento Mori of Welsh copper industry
"Memento Mori" of Welsh copper industry, reputed to have been made by William Francis in about 1895. On a wooden base with an oval glass case containing the figures of copper workers. Photograph of Mr David Jones of Hafod on reverse.
This Momento Mori celebrates a visit to Mumbles, Caswell and Langland Bay by the Morfa Copper Refiners in 1895. The reverse side is dedicated to the memory of David Jones of Hafod (possibly a young worker struck down by illness or injury).
