Figure group of the Sailor and girl, white earthenware with a blue tinted crackle glaze, with some firing discolouration around foliage and on sailor's arm, on a very shallow plinth. Largely white and gilt, girl barefooted in long full skirt decorated with gilt sprigs, gilt detailing on sash around girl's waist and on her loose white bodice with elbow length sleeves, flesh coloured feet, face and hands, brown hair in ringlets. Sailor in sailor's clothing, also barefoot, with gilt striped loose white trousers, loose white jacket, black bow at neck painted over a wider moulded necktie, brown hair. Girl at front, kneeling with hands crossed on breast and head raised, sailor behind resting left hand on girl's shoulder, shading his eyes with his right hand, green spiky foliage by sailor's right leg, and by girl's left arm.
