Early Medieval stone quern
Upper quernstone, in three fragments made of a local medium- to coarse-grained, grey sandstone, superficially stained red by soil. The grinding surface is smooth, having smoother truncated quartz grains. The central hole is funnel-shaped in profile, tapering from 52mm to 12 mm.
