Dinorwic Quarries. Llanberis (photograph)
Group of 7 quarrymen standing near a loaded rubble/waste wagon at Ponc Pendiffwys, (Upper Wellington area/section of the quarry) Dinorwig Quarry. The Llanberis Pass can be seen in the background. Mounted on card with title and photographers name written on. Welsh inscription on reverse.
The quarrymen in the photograph are as follows:- Left side: Alun Lloyd Jones (donor’s brother) / Alfred (Beudy Mawr, Nant Peris) / Sion (Nant Peris) / Raymond Jones (Fron Haulog, Llanberis). Right side: Arfon Phillips (Port Dinorwic) / Gwilym (Ty Ffynnon, Nant Peris) / John El (Cwm y Glo).
Note: The photograph was donated in a modern frame. The frame has now been removed.
