Cup, cabinet and saucer
Cabinet cup and saucer, soft-paste porcelain, the cup with a white translucency, the saucer with an orange, earthy translucency; cup standing on three paw feet, slightly tapered cylindrical shape, flared lip; beaded moulding around top and bottom; eagle with outstretched wings and interlocking snake handle with ring tail; saucer standing on a foot rim curving into flared spreading sides; beaded moulding around the cavetto; cup painted with a vignette of a goldfinch in a landscape; gilt detail to handle and gilt scrolls on either side; beading bordered by gilt lines, gilt foot and lip; saucer glazed but undecorated.
