Medieval lead ampulla
The ampulla is incomplete, and is broken at the beginning of the neck, with a surviving length of 39.36mm and a weight of 35.7g. The beginnings of the sides of the neck have a width of 19.36mm. The obverse of the ampulla is decorated with the scallop-shell (representing pilgrimage) with widely spaced raised ribs and of Spencer (1990)1 Type I. No decoration is evident on the reverse face. The body has a thickness of 8.83mm.
