Tea canister
Coles & Co, Swansea Earthenware House (1780 - 1790)
Tea-caddy or jar, creamware, greenish tinge to glaze, rectangular, flask-shaped, with arched shoulders and short tapering neck (no cover), all four sides panelled with narrow ribs and moulded with a floral swag below a band of folded feather work, outlined in underglaze blue; the top edged with a waved line and painted with petal and scroll corner ornaments, all in underglaze blue.
