Reverse. Equestrian: the king seated on an horse galloping to right, in coat of mail and surcoat (indistinct on this impression) with helmet; his left hand grasps a shield obliquely across his breast, it bears the arms of ENGLAND, three leopards (lions) in pale, which also appear on the flowing caparisons of his horse; his extended right hand holds a sword inclined to and reaching over his head to penetrate the legend after the initial +.
