Tureen, cream
Cream tureen, soft-paste porcelain, greenish paste with creamy brown translucency, wide spreading foot ring, oval body shaped into four lobes and with rounded sides, two short scroll handles; each side painted with an oval titled view in polychrome: 'A Mile from Hafod', featuring a high arched bridge over the River Ystwyth with rocks in the foreground and wooded hills to each side, and 'Hafod', featuring the confluence of the River Ystwyth and a stream (probably the River Peiran) cascading over rocks, both framed with a blue line edged with gold and gilded sprays, the rim with gilded pendant leaves below a blue border with gilded dentil edge, gilded bands round the waist and foot, gilding on the handles.
