Late Mesolithic stone axe
Elongated axehead-shaped oval, heavily weathered, with two areas of ? pecking on one face (nature obscured by weathering and lichen growth), 4mm and 2mm deep. The broad end is also badly weathered but may be bevelled/chamfered; the narrower end is ?flaked. Possible pebble axehead or anvil?
