Morris, Henry (Henry Morris, 1799-1880, at Swansea 1814-1826)
Plate, bone china, circular shape with straight-sided foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, the rim moulded with a rococo pattern of c-scrolls interspersed with ribbon-tied foliage, shallow notches and lobes to the edge of the rim; painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a Canadian columbine flower in pink, yellow and green, scattered around the rim are sprigs of flowers and fruit enclosed in panels formed by the moulded c-scrolls, a gilt dentil edge to the rim.
