Shabti
Shabti figure (male), of a quartz or sand composite paste or faience, standing on a square base, a flat backed support rising from the base and extending the length of the figure, the figure with hieroglyphic inscriptions on the lower body contained within six bands, the legs conjoined, the upper body shrouded, the arms crossed and holding two rods, the head surmounted with a headdress, extending over the forehead and to the length of the plaited bead extending below the chin; the whole covered with a bright glassy turquoise glaze.
