Pear shaped jug of creamy white earthenware, standing on a wide, straight sided foot rim, bulbous, rounded lower body, tapering towards the neck and flaring at the lip rim, the spout moulded with a spreading acanthus leaf; ribbed, angular handle, moulded with acanthus leaves above upper and lower terminals; transfer printed in green with the 'Cuba' pattern; a pavilion-style building, surrounded by an expanse of water running into a small waterfall, with a male and femal figure standing beneath a tree, the male , gesturing toward the building; the lip rim printed with a scrolled border of flowers and strawberries, interspersed with geometric knot motifs and Greek key motifs with trailing asymmetric lines; the handle printed with ornate scrolls and foliage, with a linking geometric motif in darker green.
